Q. I have just been looking at your web site and like what I have seen. We are
interested in both photography and video. Before I call to set up a time to
meet with you can you please tell me if we were to have both photography and
video with you would there be a saving in costs.
A. Thank you very much for your
enquiry about our services. Our current video and photography packages can
be combined in any fashion that suits your needs. All our packages are already at
there best pricing for the level of service and quality that we offer. It
has always been our belief not to raise pricing just so you can give the
appearance of discounting, because this is what most businesses do. With us you
will always know that the price you get is the right price first time every
time. Most of my
suppliers know with me not to give the the list price, but to get straight
to the chase and give me the real price straight away. This way we
save you time, effort and give you confidence in our product and
pricing.

Just finished speaking to a customer to follow up how they were going with their
wedding plans in regard to booking a photographer. They informed me they
had just booked another photographer, I congratulated them and asked what their
deciding factor was. To my surprise the customer hesitated, then informed
me that they really wanted to book us, but were sucked in by high pressure
cunning sales tactics. They told me that after the sale they sat in their
car and asked each other why they did that.
I actually didn't now what to say, but asked
if they had paid any money. They had paid money so I let them know they
probably would not get it back. The only advise I could give them was the
studio they had gone
with
was quite good, and to follow what their gut was telling them as you only get
one chance at this. The
long story short, think before you buy don't get suckered in by flashy
sales talk, weddings are not about sales but a personally shared experience that
will last a life time. The photographer plays a big part
in your day, so make sure they are right for you. There is no
second chance to wish you did it differently after the fact i.e.
Cheap now, cheap forever, cheap photography. To cut the
cost of a quality package you have to cut something often
cheapening the package. If a photographer is offering
seemingly the same thing but ridiculously cheaper, ask yourself
is it too good to be true and what is the catch (it could also
be the real deal, but be shore). The catch you
will have to figure out yourself because they will never tell
you. The client about which this story is written also
noticed after the fact that the additional cost were twice ours
i.e. family reprints. You need to look deeper at the
hidden costs.
