Pride of the Nation Project

Pride of the Nation is an exquisite coffee table book that features our Australian children. It is a unique fundraising project for the Bonnie Babes Foundation.

Children from newborn to 15 years old will be professionally photographed by an accredited photographer. One of the images taken of your child will be guaranteed to appear in Pride of the Nation book.

There is no cost for the photography. All that is required is a $50.00 donation for the first child or $75.00 for all children from the same family to the Bonnie Babes

Sadly, more than 50,000 babies die each year from miscarriage, stillbirth and pre maturity. Bonnie Babes Foundation provides grief counseling to ease the suffering of this tragic loss and supports important medical research projects.

Pride of the Nation will be a book to be cherished for generations to come and most importantly will raise much needed funds for the Bonnie Babes Foundation.

This project has been developed by Nulab Professional Imaging, in conjunction with the Bonnie Babes Foundation and is supported by Target, Kodak, Centro Shopping Centers and ASG.

The Process

  • Book online or by faxing or posting the entry form. Download the entry form
  • Your information is provided to one of our accredited photographers. You will be contacted to organise a pre-portrait consultation to help you design your special portrait at an agreed time.
  • Your child will be photographed, you may be able to have a family portrait done at the same time, discuss this with your photographer during your pre portrait consultation.
     
  • You will also have the opportunity to purchase photographs from your sitting.
     
  • A selection of 3 individual images of your child/children will be submitted for inclusion in the book, one will be selected by the committee. It will be published with your child's first name (as entered in the registration form) and the name of the studio.
  • The book will be published and available prior to Christmas, 2007. You may order your copies of the book from your photographer. Recommended retail price of the book is only $154. As this book is a limited edition and will not be available once all copies have been distributed, to secure your personal copies please be sure to purchase them from your photographer.

  • How soon after I register will my allocated photographer contact me?

    Once you register, your information is forwarded to one of our accredited Pride of the Nation photographers. They will normally contact you within 4-5 weeks to discuss your portrait sitting.

  • Can I choose my own photographer?

    Certainly, we have a list of our accredited photographers available on this site, you need to enter their 'Studio Number' in the appropriate field on the registration form. You will then be automatically assigned to that photographer, however the photographers allocated to you usually are based within a 20km radius of your postcode and are those that have the facilities to have your child’s portraits taken and included in this beautiful book in time for the August 31st deadline.

  • How do I pay the donation to Bonnie Babes?

    At the time of registration you will fill in your credit card information into our secure payment portal. If you do not have a credit card you may pay by alternate methods by obtaining a printed registration form and posting the completed form with your cheque or money order. Your donation will be directly transferred to the Bonnie Babes Foundation.

  • Is my donation tax deductible?

    Absolutely. You will receive a Tax Invoice from us for your donation via email shortly after your successful registration.

    Can I choose which photograph is included on the book?

    Your photographer will submit 3 individual images of each child for inclusion in the publication, our committee will then select the final image of each child to be published. You may wish to discuss the selection with your photographer at your viewing.

  • I am having all of my children photographed, can I have the group shot published?

    No, the publication is dedicated to individual shots of each child involved in the Pride of the Nation project.

  • When can I buy the book?

    You can pre-purchase the book from your photographer at the time of viewing your images. The book will be available for delivery prior to Christmas.

  • Can I have my whole family photographed at the same time as my child?

    Please discuss this with your photographer when they contact you. There should be no extra charge for this, other than if you decide to purchase some photographs at the time of viewing.

  • Is there any chance my child will miss out on being in the book?

    All children registered and photographed for the Pride of the Nation project before the deadline will be published in the upcoming publication. However if for some unforseen circumstance your child's image misses the submission deadline your child will be included in next years publication.
